I’m Laura, author of all these works.
When I was a child my grandpa, who was a painter in his free time, taught me the value of image. A few years later I fell in love with photography. The first time I entered a photography darkroom, I decided to spend the rest of my life creating images.
I studied an MA in Audiovisual Communication. I completed my training in an autodidactic way: innumerable weekend courses, assisting a professional photographer, and working on small projects that slowly became bigger. In 2007 I studied a Masters in Photography in TAI School of Arts and Performance. I specialised in Fashion, Portrait and Advertisement Photography.
Then, a thing led to another and, recommended by some of my University professors, I started to work as a photography teacher. I have been lucky to work in some of the most prestigious photography schools in Madrid. With photography came retouch and the thousands of hours creating impossible realities. Then the Canon 5D Mark II gave me my passion for moving images and shooting films back.
The last couple of years, my clients started to ask me for graphic designs. This new demand motivated me to study a Masters in Graphic Design. It was when I discovered the universe of Motion Graphics that I realised it was the perfect skill for me: an area where I could mix almost all of my knowledge, and where creativity is at the centrepiece.
In my free time, like my grandpa, I continue exploring and investigating. The best thing about creating images is that it is a never-ending activity; there is always something new to discover.
If you need anything, I’ll be around. For any consultations, you’ll find me here.
